Hatchet by Gary Paulsen is 193 pages long. He does a magnificent job describing Brian's challenges. A plane crashes in a L shaped lake and the pilot dies at impact. Brian survives the crash and manages to swim to land. Later in the story Brian digs out a tree and makes it his home, he makes furniture and a bed made out of leaves. He learns how to hunt and makes a bow and arrow.Hatchet by Gary Paulsen is 193 pages long. Brian is lost in the wilderness and will be rescued sometime in the next year. It is a magnificent book and would recommend this book to anyone and everyone, children and adults. It's a magnificent classic.
